HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR’S OFFICE TAKES SECOND PLACE STATEWIDE IN DONATE LIFE MONTH FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

TAMPA, Fla., August 28, 2025 – Tax Collector’s Office proudly announces its remarkable achievement during Donate Life Month, raising $3,368 and securing second place statewide in fundraising efforts to support organ, eye, and tissue donation awareness.
The month-long campaign, which concluded in April, showcased the extraordinary generosity and commitment of the Tax Collector’s Office team members who rallied together to support Donate Life Florida’s lifesaving mission. The funds raised will directly benefit programs that promote donation awareness and provide support to families affected by organ, eye, and tissue donation throughout Florida.

“I am incredibly proud of our team’s dedication and compassion in supporting such a great organization,” said Tax Collector Nancy Millan. “This achievement demonstrates not only our commitment to serving our community through our daily work, but also our dedication to causes that save and enhance lives across our state.”

The second-place ranking among all participating organizations statewide highlights the Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office’s exceptional community engagement and the team’s unified effort to make a meaningful difference. Donate Life Florida works tirelessly to increase organ, eye, and tissue donation registration while honoring donors, celebrating transplant recipients, and supporting families touched by donation.

This fundraising success adds to the Tax Collector’s Office’s ongoing commitment to community service and demonstrates how government organizations can effectively champion vital causes that benefit all Floridians.
