TAMPA, Fla., April 15, 2025 – The Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office (HCTC) is hosting their annual Kids Tag Art Program Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 16th at 5:30pm at Jefferson High School. The event will showcase the creativity of students in Hillsborough County while raising funds to support art programs and teachers. The program, now in its fourth year, raises funds for Hillsborough County art programs by having 5th grade students create one-of-a-kind art to be used as specialty license plates. The program has raised over $104,000 for Hillsborough County art teachers since its inception, providing an average of $800 to each participating school to invest back into their classroom.
With a record-breaking 65 schools participating this year, the Kids Tag Art Program continues to grow in impact and reach. About Kids Tag Art Program: Kids Tag Art gives 5th grade students the opportunity to showcase their artistic abilities by designing front vanity license plates in their art class. The art is printed on metal plates and sold to family, friends, and the public. One hundred percent of the proceeds from plate sales and sponsorships go back to the participating schools to support their art programs through the Hillsborough Education Foundation.
