Driver License
Reinstatement and Suspensions
A Florida driver license may be suspended for numerous reasons. Typically suspensions result from violations which may include giving false information on a driver license application, incurring an excessive amount of points through traffic citations, non-compliance with state laws, not having Florida insurance, non-payment of traffic tickets, DUI, etc.
Traffic tickets must be paid in the traffic court in the county in which the citation was issued.
Certain suspensions can be reinstated online. Visit FLHSMV’s MyDMV Portal for more information.
