Back-to-school events in the Tampa Bay area this weekend

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The start of the new school year is right around the corner, and many events are happening in the Tampa Bay area to help get families ready.

Here are some of the events happening this weekend.

Hills. Co. Drive into the School Year Event – Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., the Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office is hosting a Back-to-School event to encourage parents to prepare their teen drivers ahead of the school year, providing teens access to essential services, free health screenings from community partners, and more.
