Consumer Alert: Road Testing Services Discontinued at the Tax Collector’s Drew Park Office

TAMPA, FL – (June 9, 2017) –  The Hillsborough County Tax Collector will discontinue road testing at its Drew Park office, effective June 19.

After careful consideration and review, Doug Belden, Tax Collector, made the decision to discontinue road testing services at the Drew Park satellite office located on 4100 W. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.   “The safety of our employees and customers is of utmost importance to me, Belden said, “especially because this office does not have an on-site road testing track.” Belden believes discontinuing road testing at the Drew Park location is in the best interest of our office and the customers we serve.  Road testing is required for a Florida driver license and is offered at three other Tax Collector offices.  Drivers needing a road test can visit one of the following locations:

• East Tampa – 2814 E. Hillsborough Ave., Tampa, FL 33610 (On-site Test Track)
• Brandon – 3030 North Falkenburg Road, Tampa, Florida 33619 (On-site Test Track)
• Plant City – 1834 Jim Redman Parkway, Plant City 33563 (On-site Test Track)

Appointments may be scheduled by visiting the Hillsborough County Tax Collector website at www.hillstax.org.  For other tax collector services, residents of Hillsborough County may visit any of the seven other office locations or utilize online services offered on the Tax Collector’s website.
