Hillsborough County Tax Collector Partners with Lion’s Eye Institute and the Glazer Vision Foundation to offer Free Eye Exams and Glasses to Children in June

Tampa, FL— June 6, 2022 — Hillsborough County Tax Collector Nancy Millan is honored to be partnering with the Lion’s Eye Institute and Glazer Vision Foundation to offer free eye exams and glasses to children at the Tax Collector locations in June.

“80% of all vision impairment can be prevented or cured, however 1 in 5 children cannot afford eye care. That is why we are honored to partner with the Lion’s Eye Institute and the Glazer Vision Foundation to provide their Mobile Vision Clinic to our community,” said Nancy Millan, Hillsborough County Tax Collector. “The Mobile Vision Clinic offers top medical resources and cutting-edge technology to provide eye exams and prescription glasses within 3 hours to children in need – all at no cost,” she continued.

Families can sign up their children, ages 5 to 17, by visiting bit.ly/glazer-glasses. The Glazer Vision Foundation Mobile Vision Clinic will be at the following Tax Collector locations and dates between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.:

June 16         East Tampa – 2814 E Hillsborough Ave.

June 17         North Tampa – 3011 University Center Dr.
