Hillsborough County Tax Collector to discuss proposed transition of Public Transportation Commission.

Tampa, FL — May 16, 2017

TAMPA, FL – (May 16, 2017) Doug Belden, Hillsborough County Tax Collector and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s office are scheduled to appear in front of the Board of County Commissioners tomorrow, May 17, 2017 at 11:00 am  to provide an update on the transition of the Public Transportation Commission (PTC).

Belden states, “We have put a team in place to review current PTC policies and procedures and developed a proposed comprehensive business model to address ridership in Hillsborough County.”  Belden’s team is comprised of the interim director of the PTC, staff members from the Tax Collector, Sheriff, County Attorney and Hillsborough County administrative offices.

This is another great example of county government working together to establish efficiencies and transparency within government.
