TAMPA, FL – (March 27, 2014) – Doug Belden, Tax Collector encourages taxpayers to pay outstanding 2013 real estate and tangible property taxes before March 31st and avoid additional fees.

“We urge our customers to pay online using e-check and avoid wait time and convenience fees.” Belden said. E-check is a free electronic payment process which allows customers to make a secure transfer of funds directly from their checking account. Customers opting to pay by mail must ensure the envelope is postmarked with a date on or prior to March 31, 2014.
Taxes become delinquent on April 1st, at which time 3% interest and advertising costs are added to the amount due.
