Tax Collector’s Downtown Main office re-opens for business

TAMPA, FL – (July 28, 2017) –The Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s  Downtown office is scheduled to reopen to the public for regular business on Monday, July 31, 2017 following an expansion project .

The renovation and expansion included opening up the customer service area with expanded capacity and additional customer service counters to better serve the increasing number of customers in this office.  Services offered at this location include titles and registrations, business taxes, hunting and fishing permits, property taxes, driver license services and birth certificates.  “I can’t say enough about how well we worked with the county to complete this project,” Belden said. “This is yet another great example of how government agencies work together to better serve the residents of Hillsborough County while maintaining fiscal responsibility.”

The Tax Collector’s office has several other satellite offices conveniently located throughout Hillsborough County to serve the public.  The offices are open at 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.   Driver License service hours are offered from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Tax Collector encourages customers to renew online or schedule an appointment to avoid the wait.
